Flash Mob La Canada
Another unusual booking for Marbella Entertainments, this time managing the surprise Flash Mob in La Canada shopping center Marbella.
This one man hire was supplied by Paul, delivering a small sound system early in the morning and returning at 2pm to handle all the music.
At 3pm in La Canada shopping center Marbella, the silence will be broken by ‘Stelvis’ belting out 1,000 watts of ‘Viva Marbella’. During this rendition, nobody will dance as the camera will be on Stelvis and crowd reaction.
Then Wendy will break into ‘Proud Mary’ which is ‘heart attack’ fast!
I, your fearless leader, will lead you onto the world dance stage partnered by my long suffering dance partner Natalie Davis. Only Natalie and I will dance this number whilst the cameras focus on Wendy and the crowd gathering to watch, and close ups of their reactions.
The first dancer on the floor (Other than Nat and I) will be John Patrick who will be getting out of a wheelchair whilst his very attentive nurse is distracted by a message on her mobile phone. He will grab Lolita and drag her kicking and screaming to join Nat and myself. This 3rd song is the cue for our first 30 couples to gradually join the four of us dancing to ‘River Deep Mountain High’ which, sung by Mike and Simone, is a very easy dance beat.
Next, Lesley Harrison will open her vast lungs for ‘How sweet it is to live in Marbella’ and 30 more JiveSpain couples will, 2 by 2, join the rest of us. Then, during the penultimate song ‘Marbella’ (used to be called Waterloo) sung by Michelle Daniels, everyone else joins in the dancing for the last two songs.
We are then all on the dance area as Steve Cline addresses the entire hall and gets everyone singing ‘Hey Hey Marbella’
Between each of the six songs there is a 4 second break during which all the people in the dance area will ‘freeze’ in whatever dance position they are in and then continue, where they left off, when the next song starts.
Please don’t leave the dance floor until the last song has finished. So, if you are confident you can jive continuously for about 6 minutes, be among the first to dance, following John Patrick and Lolita as song number three starts. If 4 minutes is your limit, join in song number four, everyone else please take to the floor for songs five and six. It is supposed to look as if everyone is a member of the public, getting caught up in the ‘fun of the moment’.
Start by shopping, or at least appearing to, wearing whatever you like. At the end, I propose to say a few words directly to camera and then we will all wave to the world and, that, please is the only time you look at any camera.
Please invite anyone and everyone you know, we want the main hall (where H&M and Zara are) packed to the rafters on both levels. I have decided to accept Talk Radio Europe’s offer to publicize the fact that a film about Marbella is being made there but, with very little more detail. If we get any undesirables I am confident that between Gerry (our Duquesa hard man) and Agnes (the Bouncer at ‘Capone’s’ night club) anyone causing trouble will soon see the outside of the building or the inside of intensive care!
The first time the finished, edited film ‘Flash Mob MARBELLA style’ will be shown is at its PREMIER NIGHT on March 12th at a very special ‘Dinner and Dance’ to which you are invited and, tickets are now on sale at all venues.
